Please note that Cambridge Middle School will not be sending a staff member to this event. Transport, supervision and accommodating is the responsibility of the rider's family.

Event Details: The National School Road Championships will be returning to the Manawatu in 2020! The three days will see a Team Time Trial, Road Race and Points Race.

Sunday 27 September: Road Race from Colyton School
Monday 28 September: Points Race from Manfeild

Individual events: U20, U17, U16, U15, U14, U13 boys and girls.
Team events: Senior (U20), Junior (U16), Year 7 & 8At a minimum competitors must be enrolled in Year 7.
Overall Points Trophies A reminder on how the points are allocated for overall top school trophies.
The H A JOLI cup for Boys and the ANGELA DRAKE cup for Girls will be awarded to the respective Year 9 - 13 schools teams that have the highest aggregate points score across all championship or "A" grade events. Points will be awarded for the first 10 places with 10 points for 1st and 9 points for 2nd, 8 points for 3rd etc in each of the races (including Team Time Trial).
The CHRIS GINDERS cup for Boys and the MARIE LAYCOCK cup for Girls will be awarded to the respective Year 7/8 schools teams that have the highest aggregate points score across all championship or "A" grade events. Refund Policy: Refunds will only be processed on the presentation of a medical certificate. All refunds will incur a $20 administration fee.

Racing will be conducted under the Cycling New Zealand Schools Racing Rules. The Cycling New Zealand scale of penalties will apply. All Riders should familiars themselves with the complete Racing Rules under which Racing will be conducted.
Health and Safety: Everyone has a responsibly towards Health and Safety at an event. The safety of the riders, officials, volunteer and spectators are included in the event planning. This includes (but not limited to) road restrictions, traffic management and event advisories to the local businesses and residents. The event takes place in a mix of urban residential and rural roads. It is your responsibility to manage your own safety during the event, to be aware of other road users at all times and to make responsible decisions. There is traffic management in place however, the roads are OPEN and there will be public and official traffic on the circuit during your race. If you have any questions or concerns regarding Health and Safety please report to the Event Manager or Race Manager.
