2022 Winter - Junior Boys Lacrosse Opportunity

In Term 2 & 3 2022, Cambridge Middle School and Cambridge High School are looking to create an opportunity for Junior Boys lacrosse players from Years 7 - 10 to play fortnightly fun game/s on a Saturday afternoon. We have received approval from the WLA for this.

WHO:  Years 7 to 10 Boys
WHEN:  Every SECOND Saturday
DATES:  start Saturday 11 June 2022 through into Term 3 - end date TBC dependent on numbers
TIMESLOTS: 12.30pm and possibly 1.45pm if numbers call for a second game
LOCATION:  Tamahere Park
COST: Please refer to the google form. DO NOT PAY CMS at this stage.
GEAR NEEDED: All players must wear comfortable sports clothes, boots, a mouth-guard and a box.

* 12 minute quarters game (4 x 12 min)
* Flexible teams put together each game day with a mix and match approach
* No take-out allowed (similar rules to the WLA Junior league)
* Games played with a SOFT mod-crosse lacrosse ball
* Umpires will be provided

Lacrosse at Cambridge Middle School

The Intermediate School League runs during Term 4 and is organised by the Waikato Lacrosse Association (WLA).

2022 Registrations - watch this space!

WHO: Year 7 & 8 students

SEASON DATES: Term 4 2022 - TBC, might be Saturday 29 October to Saturday 10 December

WHERE: Tamahere Recreation Reserve (by Tamahere School)

TIMESLOTS: 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm

GEAR: Lacrosse stick, mouthguard, black PE shorts/tights, CMS Numbered sports t-shirt or Numbered bib (will be supplied by CMS)

COST: TBC approx. $60 per player for the term. You will be invoiced for this via an email from Cambridge Middle School. Any player who has not paid by the due date will not be registered.


  • This league is played 6 a side with a maximum of 12 players named on game day but there is no limit to the number of players in a squad
  • The Boy’s competition has one division - Boys Division
  • The Girl’s competition has an A Division & B Division
  • Umpires will be provided by Waikato Lacrosse, however if any parents or wishing to learn to umpire, Waikato Lacrosse would be more than happy to provide training
  • Player of the Day certificates and $10 vouchers for Sal's Authentic New York Pizza will be handed out by the coach after each game
