Summer Lacrosse at Cambridge Middle School
The Intermediate School League runs during Term 4 and is organised by the Waikato Lacrosse Association (WLA).

We are no longer taking registrations via the google forms that were sent out via The Week Ahead emails and Facebook posts in August. If your son or daughter is keen to play lacrosse for a CMS team in Term 4 2023, please send an email directly to paula.h@cms.school.nz and we'll see if we can find space in a team.
WHO: Year 7 & 8 students
SEASON DATES: Term 4 2023 - Saturday 28 October to Saturday 09 December
WHERE: Tamahere Recreation Reserve (by Tamahere School)
TIMESLOTS: 2pm, 3pm, 4pm
GEAR: Lacrosse stick, mouthguard, box (boys), black PE shorts/tights, CMS Numbered sports t-shirt or Numbered bib (will be supplied by CMS). It is recommended (but not mandatory) that players wear lacrosse goggles as eye protection.
COST: $50 per player for the term. You will be invoiced for this via an email from Cambridge Middle School. Any player who has not paid by the due date will not be registered.
GAME FORMAT & INFO:
This league is played 6 a side with a maximum of 12 players named on game day and a maximum of 14 players in each squad
The Boy’s competition has one division - Boys Division
The Girl’s competition has an A Division & B Division
Each team must name an umpire/referee when entering

Boys Winter Lacrosse Opportunity
Cambridge Middle School and Cambridge High School are looking to create an opportunity for Junior Boys lacrosse players from Years 7 - 10 to play some fun games on Saturdays in Term 2. We have received approval from the WLA for this.

DETAILS:
WHO: Years 7 to 10 Boys
WHEN: SATURDAYS
DATES: starts Saturday 06 May for 6-8 weeks, finish date TBA
TIME: 12.30pm
LOCATION: Tamahere Park
COST: $25 per player (to cover payment to umpires). Payment instructions will be emailed early May.
GAME FORMAT & INFO:
Short training session then
12 minute quarters game (4 x 12 min)
Flexible teams put together each game day with a mix and match approach
No take-out allowed (similar rules to the WLA Junior league)
Games played with a SOFT mod-crosse lacrosse ball
Umpires will be provided
GEAR NEEDED: All players must wear comfortable sports clothes, boots, a mouth-guard and a box.
